Keperra Quarter
Dining Precinct and Retail Village

With roots firmly planted in the belief that everyone deserves the same lifestyle opportunities and conveniences, we began the journey of Keperra Quarter.

It was clear that Brisbane City was full of wonderful restaurants, yet in the surrounding suburbs there was a distinct lack of local eateries, family-friendly offerings, and gathering spaces with ambiance.

Seemingly overlooked, the old Keperra Quarry provided the perfect rocky canvas for our project. Surrounded by lush forests, the area is full of history. The very name Keperra is an aboriginal word referring to ‘young man’ or ‘bora ring’ (ceremonial ground).

Our journey thus far has been a lesson in how to build a vibrant and welcoming community space, rather than a retail mix, or shopping centre. Distinguished by its contemporary yet familiar Queensland style, and designed with a focus of social and public purpose, our local heirloom has begun to take shape.
