City Lane
Dining Precinct

An ambitious idea for Townsville, born from Australian laneway culture and the repurposing of historical buildings.  City Lane is a catalyst project for the reinvigoration of a dying CBD.

Restaurants and bars now line the laneway, dotting the restored shopfronts and sunny sidewalks. A diversity of food and beverage options, clusters of local art and North Queensland's first self-pour craft beer bar now occupy previously barren buildings.

The project’s success can be attributed to many, including passionate local tenants, the dedicated team at the Perc Tucker Gallery, the property management team at Lancini Property Group, renowned Australian street artists and grass roots community supporting unprivileged youth who all contribute to the ongoing hosting of cultural events such as Fashion Week, live music, markets and festivals.

Our development team was fortunate to work with some of Queensland’s best architects and designers to rehabilitate and reimagine the historical structures and delicately mix them with the new construction.  This project was about creating something different, somewhere different and keeps drawing us back to celebrate just how much Townsville has to offer.
